Iancu was born at 17.Feb.1886. Son of Hirs sin Leib (30 years old), merchant and Minta (25 years old), both domiciled in Botosani "under Romanian protection" (apparently means they were native-born in Romania, but not citizens since Jewish).

Minta married Hers (Hersu) sin Leib, son of Leib and Unknown. (Hers (Hersu) sin Leib was born in 1856.)
